AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY (for 1UR-FSE): REMOVAL
AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal
9. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
11. DISCONNECT FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Active Stabilizer System) Removal
13. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
14. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH Removal
15. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
16. REMOVE FRONT NO.2 STABILIZER BRACKET LH (w/ Active Stabilizer System) Removal
17. REMOVE FRONT NO.2 STABILIZER BRACKET RH (w/ Active Stabilizer System)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
18. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE
(a) Disconnect the connector and clamps.
(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction hose.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.
19. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge subassembly from the compressor.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.
20. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
(b) Using an E8 "torx" socket, remove the stud bolt and compressor.
HINT:
Remove the compressor and pulley from the vehicle with the stud bolts remaining in the compressor.
(c) Remove the bolt and remove the bracket.
