Front Passenger Side Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the conditions of the mirror control switch.
The integration control and panel assembly sends information about the operating condition of the mirror switch (switch input signals) through the BEAN line. Then the switch input signals are sent to the front multiplex network door ECU RH. Mirror adjustment is controlled by the front multiplex network door ECU RH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION
(a) Using the outer mirror switch, check if the passenger side power mirror can be adjusted. Using the retract switch, check if the passenger side power mirror can be retracted and returned.

B -- GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MIRROR MASTER SWITCH AND MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the mirror master switch and mirror control switch.
Integration control and panel assembly:






NG -- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use Techstream to generate a control command, and then check the power mirror control function.

4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH (LEFT / RIGHT MOTOR, UP / DOWN MOTOR)





(a) Remove the mirror RH.
(b) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the power mirror.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
5. CHECK FUSE (FR DOOR RH)
(a) Remove the FR DOOR RH fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the M4 ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
