INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK IF PROPER DISC IN INSERTED
(a) Make sure that the disc is a normal audio disc, and that it is not deformed, flawed, burred or otherwise defective.
OK:
Normal audio disc.
HINT:
NG -- DISC IS FAULTY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK THAT DISC IS INSERTED PROPERLY
(a) Check whether or not the disc is inserted upside down.
OK:
Disc is properly inserted.
NG -- INSERT DISC PROPERLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CLEAN DISC
(a) Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NOTICE:
Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.
OK -- DISC WAS DIRTY
NG -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK
(a) Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- DISC IS FAULTY
