DTC B1281 - Airbag ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION
HINT:
"Airbag ECU" refers to the airbag sensor center.
This DTD is detected when communication between the airbag sensor center and network gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OPERATION
(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and check that the SRS warning light illuminates for approximately 6 seconds.
(b) Start the engine and check that the SRS warning light on the combination meter turns off.
NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the K44 sensor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard Resistance:






Standard Voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE





(a) Disconnect the K44 sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
(c) Disconnect the K52 amplifier connector.
(d) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

B -- REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER AND WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR
