REMOVAL
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH
9. REMOVE ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD
10. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
11. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING
12. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH
(a) Remove the 3 nuts from the engine mounting insulator RH.
(b) Jack up the engine and make sure there is enough space to remove the engine water pump.
NOTICE:
- Make sure not to install the attachment to the oil pan.
- To prevent the jack from interfering with the muffler, please a block of wood similar between the jack and the seam of the engine and transmission.
(c) Remove the 6 bolts and No. 1 front engine mounting bracket LH.
13. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 No. 2 idler pulley sub-assemblies and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates.

(b) Remove the bolt and idler pulley.
NOTICE:
Be careful when loosening the bolt because it is left-hand threaded.
14. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a SST, remove the 4 bolts.

SST: 09962-01000
SST: 09963-00700
(b) Separate the water pump pulley.
(c) Remove the 16 bolts, engine water pump assembly and the engine water pump gasket.
