Parking Brake Lever: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENT OF PARKING BRAKE LEVER

NOTE: Before adjusting the Parking Brake, make sure that the Rear Brake Shoe clearance has been adjusted.

1. Remove the cup holder.

Remove The Adjusting Lock Nut:

2. Using a socket driver and spanner wrench, remove the adjusting lock nut.

NOTE: Tape the socket driver before use.

3. Turn the adjusting nut until the lever travel is correct.
Parking Brake Lever travel at 196 N (20 kg, 44.1 lbs.): 5-8 clicks.
4. Install the adjusting lock nut.

Install & Tighten The Adjusting Lock Nut:

5. Using a socket driver and spanner wrench, tighten the adjusting lock nut.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kg.cm, 48 inch lbs.)
6. Install the cup holder.
