2GR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.

(b) Check operation of the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.

(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

(2) Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.
