Installation





BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the brake pedal support assembly with the 4 nuts.





Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the brake pedal support assembly to the instrument panel reinforcement with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 35 Nm (357 kgf-cm, 26 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the brake pedal load sensing switch connector and engage the clamp.





2. CONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.





(b) Connect the brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake pedal with the push rod pin, and install a new clip as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Install the brake pedal return spring between the instrument panel reinforcement and push rod pin.





4. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the guide and claw to install the No. 4 air duct sub-assembly.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the claw or guide.

6. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE Installation

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

14. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT Adjustments

15. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY Adjustments

16. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE Adjustments

17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
