C1457; FRONT VERTICAL ACCELEROMETER SIGNAL CIRCUIT

G256924t31: CHECK THE FRONT ACCELEROMETER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Disconnect the ASU electrical connector, CR89.
2. Disconnect the accelerometer electrical connector, EC13.
3. Measure the resistance between EC13, pin 02 (G) and GROUND.
^ Is the resistance less than 10,000 ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No

G256924t32: CHECK THE FRONT ACCELEROMETER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO B+
1. Measure the voltage between EC13, pin 02 (G) and GROUND.
^ Is the voltage greater than 3 volts?
-> Yes
REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new front vertical accelerometer, CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
