A: B1342-CAN Circuit Failure
A1: MEASURE CONNECTOR RESISTANCE (IGNITION OFF)
1. Measure the resistance on connector LF037 between pin 5 and pin 015.
- Is the resistance 120 ohms?
-> Yes Vehicle is OK.
-> No Go to A2
A2: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONTINUITY (1) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for continuity between L5027/005 and connector EM007/082, as well as LS027/015 and EM0071083.
- Is there electrical continuity?
-> Yes Go to A3
-> No Check harness from ABS to TCM for damage. Repair as necessary.
A3: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONTINUITY (2) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for continuity between J1692 connector CCOO6/011 and LS027/005 as well as CC006/010 and LS027/O1 5.
- Is there electrical continuity?
-> Yes Go to A4
-> No Check for continuity between vehicle ECU's.
A4: CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT (1) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for short circuit between CAN wires.
- Is a short circuit present?
-> Yes Check harness. Repair as necessary.
-> No Go to A5
A5: CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT (2) (IGNITION ON)
1. Check if either line is shorted to ground or +12V.
- Are either lines shorted to ground or +12V?
-> Yes Check harness. Repair as necessary.
-> No Replace ABS/TCS module.
