TRUNK LID

TRUNK LID HINGE : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

1.Remove trunk lid assembly. Refer to "TRUNK LID ASSEMBLY : Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
2.Remove shim (trunk lid side).
3.Disconnect harness connectors and clips from trunk lid hinge.
4.Remove trunk lid stay. Refer to "TRUNK LID STAY : Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
5.Remove following part. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
- Trunk floor spacer center
- Trunk floor carpet
- Trunk rear plate
- Trunk room trim cap (LH/RH)
- Jack lid assembly
- Trunk floor trim (LH/RH)
- Rear wheel finisher
- Trunk center box (with spare tire)
- Spare tire (with spare tire)
6.Remove hydraulic unit assembly mounting bolts. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
7.Remove trunk lid drive cylinder (LH/RH). Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
8.Remove mounting bolts and nut. Remove trunk lid hinge.
9.Remove shim (body side).

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- Check the trunk lid open/close operation after installation.
- When removing and installing the trunk lid hinge assembly, perform the fitting adjustment. Refer to
"TRUNK LID HINGE : Adjustment" Trunk Lid Hinge.
- After installation, apply touch-up paint (the body color) onto the head of the hinge mounting nuts.
