Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

1.Perform adjustment before removal. (With 4WAS) Inspection.
2.Remove tires with power tool. Exploded View.
3.Remove engine under cover with power tool. Service and Repair.
4.Remove stabilizer connecting rod and shock absorber from transverse link. Removal And Installation.
5.Separate steering outer socket from steering knuckle. Removal And Installation.
6.Remove transverse link from steering knuckle.
7.Set suitable jack under transverse link.

CAUTION:
Check that jack supporting status is stable.
8.Remove insulator from transverse link. (VK-56VD)
9.Remove mounting bolts, nuts, and stopper bushing, and then remove transverse link from front suspension member.
10.Perform inspection after removal. Inspection.

INSTALLATION

Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.
- Never tap on the ball joint cap of the stabilizer connecting rod with a hammer or a similar item when inserting the stabilizer connecting rod into the transverse link.
- Perform final tightening of bolts and nuts at the front suspension member installation and shock absorber lower side (rubber bushing), under unladen conditions with tires on level ground.
- Perform inspection after installation. Inspection.
