P1705 TP SENSOR
Description
- The accelerator pedal position sensor is installed on the upper end of the accelerator pedal assembly.
- The accelerator pedal position sensor detects the accelerator position.
- The accelerator pedal position sensor transform the accelerator pedal position into output voltage, and emit the voltage signal to the ECM.
- The TCM receives accelerator pedal position signal from the ECM via CAN communication.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" is previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
- GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DTC DETECTION
With CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine.
2. Select "SLCT LVR POSI" and "VHCL/S SE-A/T" in "Data Monitor" in "TRANSMISSION".
3. Drive vehicle and maintain the following conditions for 5 seconds or more.
SLCT LVR POSI : D
VHCL/S SE-A/T : 5 km/h (3 MPH) or more
4. Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".
Is "P1705" detected?
YES - Go to SEE Diagnosis Procedure.
NO - INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC OF ECM
With CONSULT-III
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "ENGINE".
Is any DTC detected?
YES - Check DTC detected item. Testing and Inspection.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DTC OF TCM
With CONSULT-III
Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".
Is any DTC other than "P1705" detected?
YES - Check DTC detected item. Testing and Inspection.
NO - GO TO 3.
3.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace control valve & TCM. Removal And Installation.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
