Evaporative Emission Line Replacement - Engine

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Warning (Technician Safety Information).
Warning: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning (Service Precautions).

Caution: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution (Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution).




1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) line (1) from the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
2. Disconnect the EVAP line (1) from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Remove the EVAP hose (1) from the engine.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the EVAP hose (1) to the engine.
2. Connect the EVAP line (1) to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Connect the EVAP line (1) to the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
