Intermediate Shaft Installation

6-speed M/T Model (Si)

1. Install a new set ring (A) into the set ring groove (B) of the intermediate shaft (C).





2. Clean the areas where the intermediate shaft contacts the differential thoroughly with solvent, and dry them with compressed air.

NOTE: Do not wash the rubber parts with solvent.

3. Insert the intermediate shaft (A) into the differential correctly.

NOTE: Insert the intermediate shaft carefully to prevent damaging the oil seal (B).






4. Install the flange bolt (A) and the two dowel bolts (B).






5. Install the heat shield (A), then tighten the three heat shield bolts.





6. Install the right driveshaft Driveshaft Installation.

7. Refill the transmission with the recommended transmission fluid MTF Inspection And Replacement (6MT).

8. Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary Service and Repair.

9. Test-drive the vehicle.
