Air Bag Deactivation Indicator: Service and Repair

Passenger's Airbag Cutoff Indicator Illumination Bulb Test/Replacement

1. Remove the center panel:

- Audio-navigation unit, with navigation:
- '06-08 models
- '09-11 models Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation)

- Audio unit, without navigation:
- '06-08 models
- '09-11 models Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation)

2. Remove the screws (A) and the passenger's airbag cutoff indicator (B) from center panel (C).





3. Check for continuity between passenger's airbag cutoff indicator 4P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3. If there is no continuity, replace the bulb (D).

4. Reinstall the parts in the reverse order of removal.

5. After installing the passenger's airbag cutoff indicator, confirm proper SRS operation:

- Clear the DTC memory.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
