Rear Seat-Back Cover Replacement
Seat-Back - Fold Down - 2-door
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
1. Remove the seat-back Rear Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove all of the head restraints.
3. Remove the screw, then remove the center seat belt guide (A).
4. Release the lower hook strip (A), and detach the clips.
5. Turn over the seat-back cover (A), then release the hook strips (B).
6. Pull out the seat-back frame (A) from the seat-back cover/pad (B), then remove the head restraint guides (C) while pinching the tabs on the ends of the guides.
7. Remove the seat-back cover/pad from the seat-back frame.
8. Remove the seat-back cover (A).
1. Pull back the edge of the seat-back cover all the way around.
2. Release the hooks (B) of the lateral wires (C) from the longitudinal wires (D) on the pad.
3. Remove the upholstery rings (E).
9. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- To prevent wrinkles when installing the seat-back cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the upholstery rings and the hook strips.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Seat-Back - Fold Down - 4-door
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the seat-back Rear Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove all of the head restraints.
3. Remove the screw, then remove the center seat belt guide (A).

8. Pull back the edge of the seat-back cover (A) all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (B), then remove the cover.
9. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

Seat-Back - Split Fold Down - 2-door
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
1. Remove the seat-back.
2. Remove all of the head restraints.
3. Left seat-back: Remove the screw, then remove the center seat belt guide (A).
4. Release the Velcro fastener (A) (left seat-back), the lower hook strip (B), and detach the clips.
5. Turn over the seat-back cover (A), then release the hook strips (B).

6. Pull out the seat-back frame (A) from the seat-back cover/pad (B), then remove the head restraint guides (C) while pinching the tabs on the ends of the guides.
NOTE: The left seat-back is shown; the right seat-back is similar.
7. Remove the seat-back cover/pad from the seat-back frame.
8. Remove the seat-back cover (A).

3. Remove the upholstery rings (E).

9. Install the seat-back cover/pad in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Seat-Back - Split Fold Down - 4-door
NOTE:

1. Remove the seat-back.
2. Remove these items:
- Armrest Rear Seat Armrest Replacement (4-Door)
- Head restraints
3. Left seat-back: Remove the screw, then remove the center seat belt guide (A).
4. Left seat-back: Pull out the center area of the armrest back panel (A) to release upper edge of the armrest back panel.
5. Left seat-back: Pull out the armrest back panel (A) to release the hook (B) from the seat-back frame and the hook strip (C) from the seat-back cover.
6. Release the lower hook strip (A), and detach the clips (B, C).
7. Turn over the seat-back cover (A), then release the hook strips (B).

8. Pull out the seat-back frame (A) from the seat-back cover/pad (B), then remove the head restraint guides (C) while pinching the tabs on the ends of the guides.
NOTE: The left seat-back is shown; the right seat-back is similar.
9. Remove the seat-back cover/pad from the seat-back frame.
10. Pull back the edge of the seat-back cover (A) all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (B), then remove the cover.

11. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
