Speaker Test/Replacement
Front Door Speaker
1. Remove the front door panel Front Door Panel Removal/Installation (4-Door).
2. Remove the bolt (A). Then lift the speaker (B) straight up to release the lower clips (C).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (D), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.
Tweeter
1. Carefully pry the tweeter grille (A) out of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage the tweeter grille and the dashboard.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector (B) from the tweeter.
3. Remove the tweeter from the tweeter grille.
4. Measure the resistance between the tweeter (A) terminals as shown.
- With premium audio: Measure the resistance between tweeter 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
- Without premium audio: Measure the resistance between tweeter 2P connector terminal No. 2 and the outside terminal of the capacitor (B).There should be about 4 Ohms.
Without premium audio, check the capacitor condition. If any problem is found, replace the tweeter.
With premium audio

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the tweeter.
Rear Speaker (4-door)
1. Remove the rear speaker grille (A).
2. Remove the bolt (A). Then lift the speaker (B) straight up to release the clips (C).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (D), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.
Rear Speaker (2-door)
1. Remove the rear shelf Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area (2-Door).
2. Remove the bolt (A). Then lift the speaker (B) straight up to release the clips (C).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (D), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.
Subwoofer
1. Remove the rear shelf Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area (2-Door).
2. Remove the four mounting bolts (A) from the subwoofer (B).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (C), and remove the subwoofer.
4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 2 Ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the subwoofer.
