Turbocharger - Installation
INSTALLATION
NOTE: When servicing the air charge cooler and/or the turbocharger, the air charge hose seal (orange seal) located between the air charge hose and the turbocharger must be replaced.
CAUTION: Make sure the gasket is installed properly or the turbo oil feed hole will be blocked.
1. If separated, install the turbo to the exhaust crossover pipe. Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) then add another 90° of rotation.
2. Install the turbocharger oil housing gasket and adapter (1). Tighten the bolts to 10 N-m (89 in. lbs.).
3. Position and install the front turbocharger retaining bolts (1) through the turbocharger oil housing gasket. Tighten the bolts to 10 N-m (89 in. lbs.).
4. Connect the turbocharger boost pressure servo connector.
5. Install the left and right exhaust manifold (1, 6) to turbocharger manifold (2) retaining bolts and gaskets. Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) then add another 90° of rotation.
6. Install the two turbocharger manifold to support brace bolts. Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 ft. lbs.).
7. Connect the transmission fill tube and trim cover bracket.
8. Raise and secure the vehicle.

10. Install the rear EGR tube. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Tube - Installation
11. Install the front splash shield.
12. Lower the vehicle and install the turbo front bracket retaining bolts (2).Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 ft. lbs.).
13. Install the turbo heat shield (4). Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 ft. lbs.).
14. Install air tube (turbocharger to resonator) (3). Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 ft. lbs.).
15. Install the engine trim cover.
16. Install the oil extension filler tube.

18. Connect the AGM starter negative battery cable located inside the vehicle under the instrument panel near the accelerator pedal.
19. Reconnect negative battery cable.
