Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Detach coolant line from lower radiator shroud.

NOTE: The radiator fan assembly is attached (threaded) to the fan pulley. Remove the fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from the water pump by turning the mounting nut clockwise as viewed from the front. Threads on the radiator fan drive are REVERSE THREADED (LEFT-HAND THREAD).

3. Using Counterholder 8930 (Item 2) to hold pulley, remove fan blade/viscous fan drive. (Item 1 and 5)
4. Remove upper air seal.
5. Remove upper radiator hose.
6. Remove radiator fan shroud and radiator fan. Service and Repair

NOTE: Store the viscous fan clutch in the upright position. DO NOT place down flat.
