Diagnostic Routine CX

Diagnostic Overview

A Shift To Park Display Is Never or Always On

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Shift To Park Message Display .

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION

1. Close all doors.

2. Ignition ON.

3. Open the driver front door and observe the message center operation.

Does the message center display the driver door ajar message?







2. CHECK THE PRNDL OPERATION

1. Move the floor shifter from PARK (P) to REVERSE while observing the PRNDL operation.

Does the PRNDL display PARK (P) when the floor shifter is in park and turn off when out if park?







3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Are any DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) recorded?







4. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE TCM (Transmission Control Module) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the TCM (Transmission Control Module) self-test.

Are any TCM (Transmission Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?







5. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
