Driver Seat Module (DSM)













Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: This step is only necessary if the Driver Seat Module (DSM) is being replaced.

NOTE: Prior to the replacement of the DSM, it is necessary to upload the DSM configuration information to the scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.

Upload the DSM configuration information into the scan tool from the DSM. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.

2. Remove the driver seat. For additional information, refer to Seats.

3. If equipped, position the heated seat module aside.

4. Disconnect the DSM electrical connectors.

5. Using a drill, remove the 2 rivets and the DSM.

6. NOTE: If installing a new DSM, download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new DSM.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Using the heavy-duty riveter, install the 2 rivets.
