Selector Lever Knob

Removal









1. Remove the selector lever trim ring.

2. Remove the console top finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.

3. Set the park brake and shift the selector lever into NEUTRAL.

4. Using an appropriate tool, carefully pry the selector lever knob shroud down.





5. With the selector lever knob shroud pulled down, remove the selector lever knob screws from the knob base.





6. Slide the selector lever knob up and off the selector shaft. Disconnect the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) electrical connector.

Installation

1. Connect the TCS electrical connector.

2. Fold the TCS wire into the selector shaft channel to keep the harness from contacting the sliding mechanisms.

3. NOTICE: Tightening the transmission selector lever knob screws over 2 Nm (18 lb-in) may damage the selector lever assembly.

Align the transmission selector lever knob base screw hole with the selector shaft and install the selector lever knob screws.

- Tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).





4. Slide the selector lever knob shroud up and snap into position.

5. Install the console top finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.

6. Install the selector lever trim ring.
