Body Control Module B (BCM-B)
Removal
NOTE: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to a scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new Body Control Module B (BCM-B) after installation. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.
1. NOTE: If the BCM-B is being replaced, follow this step. If the BCM-B is not being replaced, go to Step 2.
Upload the module configuration information from the BCM-B into the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.
2. From the right side of the luggage compartment, remove the pushpin and position aside the RH luggage compartment trim cover.
3. Remove the 4 BCM-B bracket assembly nuts and position the assembly for access to the BCM-B.
4. Disconnect the 2 BCM-B electrical connectors.
5. Remove the 2 nuts and the BCM-B.
Installation
1. Position the BCM-B on the BCM-B bracket and install the 2 nuts.
2. Connect the 2 BCM-B electrical connectors.
3. Position the BCM-B bracket assembly in place and install the 4 nuts, tightening the rear nuts first.
4. Position the RH luggage compartment trim cover and install the pushpin.
5. NOTE: If the BCM-B is being replaced, follow this step. If the BCM-B is not being replaced, the procedure is complete.
Download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the BCM-B. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.
6. Carry out the BCM-B self-test (must include an on-demand self-test) and then repeat the self-test to confirm all BCM-B DTCs have been cleared.
