Removal









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Remove the transmission selector lever cable from the selector lever.





3. Remove the transmission selector lever cable from the bracket and discard the transmission selector lever cable retaining clip.





4. Remove the center console transmission selector lever trim.





5. Remove the 2 screws and the center console finish panel.





6. NOTE: Passenger side center stack kick panel shown, driver side similar.

Remove the driver and passenger center stack kick panels.





7. Remove the 2 nuts in the bottom of the center console.





8. Remove the 2 screws from the front of the center console.





9. Lift up the center console, disconnect the power point electrical connector and remove the center console.





10. Disconnect the transmission selector lever electrical connector.





11. Remove the 2 transmission selector lever housing assembly nuts and the 2 transmission selector lever housing assembly screws and carefully lift the transmission selector lever assembly from the vehicle.





Installation

1. Position the transmission selector lever housing assembly in the vehicle and install the 2 transmission selector lever housing assembly nuts and the 2 transmission selector lever housing assembly screws.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).





2. Connect the transmission selector lever electrical connector.





3. Connect the power point electrical connector and install the center console.





4. Install the 2 screws into the front of the center console.





5. Install the 2 nuts into the bottom of the center console.





6. Install the driver and passenger side center stack kick panels.





7. Install the center console finish panel and the 2 screws.





8. Install the center console transmission selector lever trim.





9. NOTE: It is necessary to install a new plastic transmission selector lever cable retaining clip prior to installation.

Install the transmission selector lever cable into the bracket.





10. Install the transmission selector lever cable onto the selector lever and lock the transmission selector lever cable lock.





11. Verify the transmission selector lever cable is adjusted correctly. For additional information, refer to Selector Lever Cable Adjustment Selector Lever Cable Adjustment.
