Normal Operation
The instrument cluster communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN), circuits 1847 (WH/OG) and 1848 (PK/OG). The instrument cluster shares the HS-CAN with the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and the powertrain control module (PCM). Power and ground for the instrument cluster is provided by redundant circuits. Circuits 385 (WH/RD), 640 (RD/YE) and 1002 (BK/PK) provide voltage, and circuits 651 (BK/YE) and 57 (BK) provide ground.
