Test U: The Instrument Cluster Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST U: THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS INOPERATIVE

U1-U2:

U2-U3:

Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the smart junction box (SJB) fuse 32 (10A) through circuit 640 (RD/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from the SJB fuse 22 (15A) through circuit 1002 (BK/PK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from the SJB fuse 33 (15A) through circuit 385 (WH/RD). The instrument cluster is grounded through circuit 651 (BK/YE) and circuit 57 (BK).

Possible Causes
- Fuse(s)
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 385 (WH/RD) open
- Circuit 640 (RD/YE) open
- Circuit 651 (BK/YE) open
- Circuit 1002 (BK/PK) open
