Normal Operation
During normal operation, the wiper motor receives voltage from the hi/low relay through circuit 58 (WH) for low speed operation and from circuit 56 (DB/OG) for high speed operation. The hi/low relay receives voltage from the run/park relay through circuit 61 (YE/RD). The run/park relay receives voltage through circuit 950 (WH/BK) when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, and is energized when the smart junction box (SJB) sends a ground signal to the relay coil through circuit 646 (YE/WH). When the wipers are turned off, the SJB de-energizes the run/park relay coil. Voltage continues to supply the hi/low relay through circuit 65 (DG) until the wiper mechanism contacts the run/park switch, which opens the circuit.

Possible Causes
- circuit 56 (DB/OG) short to ground or short to voltage
- circuit 58 (WH) short to ground or short to voltage
- circuit 63 (RD) short to ground
- circuit 65 (DG) short to voltage
- circuit 646 (YE/WH) short to ground
- multifunction switch
- SJB
- wiper park/run relay
- wiper motor
