PINPOINT TEST K: THE STOPLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Normal Operation
When the brake pedal is applied, voltage is routed to the high mounted stoplamp and the multifunction switch through circuit 810 (RD/LG). Circuit 810 (RD/LG) also supplies a voltage signal to the brake shift interlock solenoid, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module, the speed control actuator, and the powertrain control module (PCM). The multifunction switch then routes the voltage to the LH and RH rear stoplamps through circuit 9 (LG/OG) and circuit 5 (OG/LB), respectively.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 5 (OG/LB) short to voltage
- Circuit 9 (LG/OG) short to voltage
- Circuit 810 (RD/LG) short to voltage
- Stoplamp switch
- Multifunction switch
- Brake shift interlock solenoid
- Speed control actuator
- PCM
- ABS module
