Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) DTC Fault Trigger Conditions







Pinpoint Test

1. VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN

1. Ignition ON.

2. Verify there is an observable symptom present.

Is an observable symptom present?








2. CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

1. Ignition ON.

2. Using a scan tool, perform a network test.

3. Carry out the network test.

Does the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) module pass the network test?








3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) MODULE SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) module self-test

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U3003:16 or DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U3003:17 recorded?








4. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U3003:16 or DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U3003:17 recorded?








5. RECHECK THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)

1. Clear the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Repeat the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0424:82 still present?
