Diagnostic Overview
The Visual Park Aid Alert Is Inoperative
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
REFER to Visual Park Aid .
Pinpoint Test
1. VERIFY THE VISUAL PARK AID IS ENABLED
1. Verify that the visual park aid is enabled using the FDIM (Front Display Interface Module).
Is the visual park aid is enabled in the FDIM (Front Display Interface Module)?
2. CHECK FOR DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE PAM (Parking Aid Module) SELF-TEST
1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, perform the PAM (Parking Aid Module) self-test.
Are any PAM (Parking Aid Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) present?
3. CHECK FOR DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST
1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, perform the BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.
Are any BCM (Body Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) present?
4. CHECK FOR CORRECT VIDEO CAMERA OPERATION
1. Disconnect the video camera connector.
2. Check for:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals- clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins- install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins- install new pins as necessary
3. Reconnect the video camera connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
4. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
