Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) Module

NOTE: This procedure applies to vehicles without navigation only. For vehicles with navigation, the satellite receiver is built-in to the Audio Control Module (ACM).











Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: Module configuration is required when a new Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) module is being installed.

Upload the SDARS module configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in Information Bus. Programmable Module Installation (PMI)

2. Remove the RH cowl side trim panel.

3. NOTE: Lower the glove compartment door to access the top nut.

Remove the bolt, the nut, and the SDARS module.

- Disconnect the satellite radio antenna connector and the electrical connector.

- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
