Test H

Pinpoint Test H: DTC C1279, C1280, C1281, C1282, C2769, C2770-Sensor Cluster Fault

CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.

NOTE: The yaw rate sensor, lateral accelerometer, and longitudinal accelerometer (4x4 vehicles) are integral to the sensor cluster.

NOTE: Make sure the vehicle is not on a hoist and is sitting on level ground before performing stability assist module calibration.

NOTE: The vehicle must be on level ground, not on a hiost and complete standstill. Any vehicle movement will result in false values for this test.

Normal Operation
The accelerometer (lateral and longitudinal-4x4) and the yaw rate sensor are contained in the sensor cluster. The sensor measures the vehicle acceleration and yaw rate then sends the signal via CAN communication wires to the ABS module.

Voltage is supplied by circuit 1574 (DB). Ground is provided through circuit 1575 (WH/BK). The CAN communication is transmitted through circuit 3125 (RD/YE) and circuit 3126 (TN/YE).

Possible Causes
- circuit 1574 (DB) open, short to ground
- circuit 1575 (WH/BK) open, short to power or ground
- circuit 3125 (RD/YE) open, short to power or ground
- circuit 3126 (TN/YE) open, short to power or ground
- sensor cluster (also called accelerometer)
- ABS module
