Test 3A - Diagnostic Compare

NOTE: You must perform Test 1-A, before proceeding with this test.

NAME OF CODE:
Diagnostic Compare Failure

When Monitored:
Ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Controller Antilock Brake CAB monitors its own internal microprocessors for proper communication. If an error occurs, the trouble code is set.

Possible Causes:
^ High resistance in the CAB ground circuit
^ Interference from RFI/EMI
- Improperly installed cellular phones, or radio transmitters
- Interference from high tension power lines
^ Failed CAB

Controller-Antilock Brake Connector:

NOTE: When disconnecting or connecting connectors, always check for terminal damage, pushed out pins or miswired.

NOTE: After completion of steps, or completion of test, perform Verification Test VER-1A.Verification Test VER-1A - ABS
