Instrument Panel Pad - Installation

INSTALLATION - AVENGER

LH TOP PAD





1. Position the LH top pad into the vehicle.
2. Hand tap the LH top pad around the perimeter to engage the retaining clips.
3. Install the two fasteners (2) below the vent and trunk release switch. Tighten the fasteners securely.
4. Connect and install the trunk release switch (1).





5. Install the two fasteners (1) located above the instrument cluster cavity. Tighten the fasteners securely.
6. Install the instrument cluster, Instrument Cluster - Installation.





7. Install the two fasteners (1) located near the speaker. Tighten the fasteners securely.
8. Install the two fasteners located under the center stack bezel hood securing the top pad to the base panel. Tighten the fasteners securely.
9. Install the outlet vent, Air Outlet - Installation.
10. Install the lower steering column opening trim panel, Steering Column Opening Cover - Installation.
11. Install the floor console, Center Console - Installation.
12. Install the center stack bezel and the center stack bezel hood, Instrument Panel Console Bezel - Installation.
13. Install the defroster grille, Defroster Grille - Installation.
14. Install the A-pillar trim, A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
15. Connect the negative battery cable.

RH TOP PAD





NOTE: If replacing the top pad, transfer the passenger airbag to the new top pad Passenger Air Bag - Installation .

1. Place RH top cover in position on vehicle. Align and position the PAB studs into the I/P structure.
2. Push top cover forward and firmly push down to engage clips to instrument panel.
3. Install the fastener (1) below the vent opening. Tighten the fastener securely.





4. Looking in from the glove box cavity, connect the PAB squib connectors and install the nuts (1) securing the PAB to the I/P structure, Passenger Air Bag - Installation.





5. Install the two fasteners (1) located near the speaker. Tighten the fasteners securely.
6. Install the two fasteners located under the center stack bezel hood securing the top pad to the base panel. Tighten the fasteners securely.
7. Install the outlet vent, Air Outlet - Installation.
8. Install the glove box assembly, Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation.
9. Install the floor console, Center Console - Installation.
10. Install the center stack bezel hood and the center stack bezel, Instrument Panel Console Bezel - Installation.
11. Install the defroster grille, Defroster Grille - Installation.
12. Install the A-pillar trim, A-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.
13. Connect the negative battery cable.
