Verification Test VER-2A - Road Test Verification
1. IF VERIFICATION TEST 3 was previously performed, perform VERIFICATION TEST 3 again.2. Inspect the vehicle for loose, missing, or damaged vacuum lines and/or electrical wires/connections. Repair as necessary.
3. If another fault code was set, and has not been corrected, go to TEST TC-1A and follow the repair procedure for that fault.
4. If the PCM has been changed and the vehicle is equipped with a factory theft alarm system, start the vehicle at least 20 times to make the alarm system operational.
5. Connect a scan tool to the engine diagnostic connector and erase any faults.
6. Perform the following procedure to check for any remaining fault code related problems:
a. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
b. Increase the engine speed to 2000 RPM for at least 10 seconds, then allow the engine to idle.
c. For an automatic transmission, apply the brakes (parking and service), and cycle through all gear ranges, returning to PARK when finished.

e. Shut off the engine, then restart the engine and allow it to idle for at least 2 minutes.
f. Turn off the engine, and read any fault codes present with scan tool.
4. If the original fault code has reset, the problem has not been corrected. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins and go to TEST TC-1A, if necessary.
5. If a different fault code has appeared, return to test TEST TC-1A and follow the repair procedure for that fault.
6. If no faults are retrieved, the repair is complete.
