Verification Test VER-1A - No Start Verification Test
1. Inspect the vehicle to ensure that all engine components are connected. Repair and reconnect components as necessary.2. Attempt to start the engine.
3. If the engine will not start, go to test NS-1A.
4. If the engine starts and the PCM has been changed:
a. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory theft alarm, start the vehicle at least 20 times so the alarm system can be activated when desired.
b. The no start condition has been corrected, and the repair is now complete.
5. If the engine is able to start and the PCM has not been changed:
a. Connect a scan tool to the engine diagnostic connector and erase faults.
b. The no start condition has been corrected and fault messages have been erased. The repair is now complete.
6. If the repaired fault has reset, the repair is not complete. Check all pertinent Technical Service Bulletins and return to TEST TC-1A if necessary.
7. If there is another fault, return to TEST TC-1A and follow the path specified by the other fault.
8. If there are no faults, the repair is now complete.
