Engine Oil Pan - Removal






REMOVAL

Special Tools:






4x4





1. Disconnect the battery negative cables.
2. Remove the intake air assembly.
3. Remove the radiator shroud retaining bolts.
4. Install Engine Support Fixture No.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: HOT OIL CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.

6. Drain the engine oil Service and Repair.










7. Loosen the front engine mount bolts.
8. Use the Engine Support Fixture No. to raise engine out of the front mounts.
9. Remove the engine oil dipstick.





10. Remove oil pan bolts, break the pan to block seal, and lower pan slightly.
11. Remove oil suction tube bolts and lower the suction tube into oil pan.
12. Remove the 2 bolts from the front of the engine block stiffener.
13. Remove the oil pan.

1. Disconnect both negative battery cables.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the fan and fan shroud Radiator Cooling Fan
4. Remove the starter Starter - Removal










5. Remove the transmission.
6. Remove the flywheel housing bolts (8).
7. Remove the flex plate bolts (8).
8. Remove the engine oil dip stick.
9. Drain the oil.
10. Remove the steering rack bolts.
11. Remove the oil pan bolts.





12. Remove the oil pickup bolts.
13. Remove the oil pan.
