Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation

INSTALLATION

GLOVE BOX MODULE





1. Connect the wiring harness and position the glove box compartment (1) into the I/P.
2. Install the six screws to the glove box compartment (1). Tighten the screws to 30 in-lbs.
3. Install the two side screws (2) securing the glove box compartment (1) to the I/P. Tighten the screws to 30 in-lbs.
4. Close the glove box door (3).





5. Connect the LED harness (1) and install the right side instrument panel silencer (2).

DOOR





1. Position the glove box bin (1) into the vehicle.
2. Turn the glove box bin sideways and install the support strap and retainer assembly (2) onto the outboard end of the bin.





3. Engage the glove box bin hinge hooks (3) onto the instrument panel hinge brackets (4) located at each end of the glove box bin (1) and pivot the bin upward.
4. To engage the glove box stops (2), push inward on both sides of the glove box bin and pivot the glove box into the instrument panel.
5. Close the glove box bin.

LOCK CYLINDER





1. Install the lock cylinder (1) and key (2) into the glove box door together in a position approximately 45° clockwise from the locked position.





2. Turn the key (3) counter clockwise to the locked position.
3. Remove the key (3) from the lock cylinder (2).
4. Reinsert the key and verify the lock cylinder is functioning properly.
5. Remove the masking tape (1) from the lock cylinder perimeter.
