Seat Back - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Rear seat back cushions are serviced as an assembly.

CONVERTIBLE





1. Align rear seat cushion into bottom bracket.
2. Install the side bottom fastener.
3. Move seat belts out of the way, push seat back into position.
4. Install the top seat back fasteners. Tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the seat belts to center stud. Tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
6. Place rear seat cushion (3) in position.
7. Guide seat belts through loops.
8. Engage retainer loops into cup (2) on floor kick-up.
9. Push downward at forward edge at each retainer loop of the rear seat cushion to engage retainers (1).
10. Install the rear shelf trim panel Rear Shelf Panel - Installation.

SEDAN





1. Place the four seat back brackets over the body mounted weld studs and position seat back in vehicle.
2. Install the seat back mounting fasteners. Tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
3. Fold the seat back up and engage the folding rear seat back latch.
4. Install the outer seat back bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the rear seat buckles and belt anchors Seat Belt Buckle - Installation.





6. Place rear seat cushion (3) in position.
7. Guide seat belts through loops.
8. Engage retainer loops into cup (2) on floor kick-up.
9. Push downward at forward edge at each retainer loop of the rear seat cushion to engage retainers (1).
