Integrated Control Unit (ICU) - Disassembly

DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with Hill Start Assist (HSA), the ICU must be serviced as an assembly. The HCU and ABM are not serviceable separately.

NOTE: The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may also be referred to as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) depending on the vehicle model year and configuration. Certain components may also reference ESP, ESC, or use the traction control symbol.

1. If the mounting bracket (3) needs to be removed from the ICU, remove the single mounting bolt (2), then slide the ICU's mounting pins out of the grommets in the bracket and remove the bracket.

2. Remove the mounting pins from the ICU.

3. If equipped with ABS-only (non-ESC vehicle), remove the three screws (1) attaching the ABM (2) to the HCU.

4. If equipped with ESC, remove the four screws (1) attaching the ABM (2) to the HCU.

5. Separate the ABM (1) from the HCU (2).
