IPM-0B-BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) COMMUNICATION FAULT

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition in run.

- Set Condition:
The IPM does not receive any messages from the BCM. Time to mature for the DDM and PDM is 5 seconds. Time to mature for the IPM is 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE BCM
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, select ECU View.
Verify that the BCM is active on the bus.
Is the BCM active on the bus?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- Perform the No Response diagnostic procedure. Communications - Verbose Codes

2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S
With the scan tool, select Network View and select Advanced.
Is there more than one module with active DTC's "Logged Against" the BCM?

Yes

- Replace/update the BCM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace/update the module that set this DTC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
