Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

Cylinder Head





Tighten the cylinder head bolts in four stages.
Stage one 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
Stage two 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
Stage three, Rotate bolts 90° clockwise
Stage four Rotate bolts 90° clockwise
Bolts 9 and 10 25 Nm (18 ft.lbs.)

Measure and inspect cylinder head bolts before reuse. Do not reuse bolts that exceed 144 mm in length

The cylinder head must be flat within:
Standard dimension less than 0.002 in. (0.05 mm)
Service Limit 0.008 in. (0.2 mm)
Grinding Limit Maximum of 0.008 in. (0.2 mm) is permitted

Camshaft





Bearing bridge bolts 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)





Tighten bolts additional 90° clockwise

Camshaft sprocket bolts
Stage one 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs)
Stage two, Rotate bolts 90° clockwise

Intake Manifold Bolts 20 Nm (15 ft.lbs.)
Intake Plenum to Supercharger Bolts 10 Nm (7 ft.lbs.)

Exhaust manifold-left 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust manifold-right 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
