Power Steering Pump Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then siphon power steering fluid out of remote power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then remove right-hand wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove accessory drive splash shield from right-hand front wheelwell.
4. Disconnect power steering fluid pressure hose from pressure fitting on power steering pump, then drain remaining power steering fluid.
5. Remove attaching hose clamp from power steering suction fitting, then the power steering supply hose.
6. Remove power steering pump adjusting nut, then the bolt attaching power steering pump to aluminum mounting bracket.
7. Remove ABS hydraulic control unit heat shield.
8. Remove speed sensor cable sealing grommet from inner fender, then disconnect the wheel speed sensor cable from wiring harness and secure aside. Pull through hole in inner fender and unclip wiring harness trough from frame rail.

9. Remove ABS sealing plug from hole in firewall.
10. Remove bolt attaching top of power steering pump front bracket to mounting bracket.
11. Remove power steering pump drive belt.
12. Remove power steering pump and bracket as an assembly.
13. Reverse procedure to install.
