21D Checking For High Fuel Pressure

1. Leave pressure gauge connected and turn engine Off.
2. Remove fuel return hose (small one) from throttle body. Using a suitable length of fuel hose, install one end to throttle body and place the other end in a suitable gasoline container.
3. Observe pressure gauge while engine is briefly started. Do not let engine run more than 10 seconds.
4. If fuel pressure is 14---15 psi, check fuel return line and in-tank check valve for restrictions.
5. If fuel pressure is above 15.5 psi, replace pressure regulator valve.
