19 Checking Secondary Ignition System

1. Connect suitable engine analyzer to engine, then start engine and let idle speed stabilize for two minutes.
2. Test secondary ignition system per equipment manufacturer's recommended procedure and proceed as follows:
a. If secondary ignition system performs satisfactorily, proceed to Test 20. 20A Checking Basic Ignition Timing
b. If secondary ignition system does not perform satisfactorily, check system and repair as necessary.
