DR-1K Automatic Idle Speed Motor Signal

1. With diagnostic read-out connected to engine test connector and automatic idle speed motor electrical connector disconnected, place system in ATM test mode 03.
2. Set digital voltmeter to AC setting, then connect voltmeter between automatic idle speed motor connector terminals 2 and 3.
3. If voltmeter cycles between 0 and 6 volts approximately every 2 seconds, replace automatic idle speed motor.

CAUTION: Before replacing the idle motor check terminals of the connector to make sure they are not crushed causing a poor connection.

4. If voltmeter does not cycle, proceed to Test 1 step M. DR-1M AIS Motor Signal at Logic Module
