DR-19A EGR Vacuum From Throttle Body to EGR Valve

This test must be performed with engine warm.

1. With engine warm, disconnect vacuum line at EGR back pressure valve that comes from EGR solenoid.
2. Connect a vacuum gauge to this line, then start engine and raise speed to 2000 RPM.
3. If vacuum gauge reads at least five inches, record vacuum reading and proceed to Test 19 step B. DR-19B Vacuum From Back Pressure Valve to EGR Valve
4. If vacuum is below five inches, repair vacuum supply from solenoid or throttle body to solenoid.
