DR-16 Checking EGR System

This test must be performed with engine cold.

1. Disconnect vacuum hose from EGR valve and connect a vacuum gauge to it.
2. Start engine and raise engine speed to 2000 RPM.
3. If vacuum gauge shows a steady reading of zero, proceed to Test 17. DR-17 Checking For Fuel Fouled Spark Plugs
4. If vacuum gauge shows unsteady reading above zero, replace EGR solenoid.
