Engine Coolant Fan Lower Shroud Replacement (Diesel)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the upper fan shroud to lower fan shroud retaining bolts.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




4. Remove the lower fan shroud retaining bolts.




5. Remove the lower fan shroud from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Note: Align lower fan shroud to the upper fan shroud with the alignment pins in the upper fan shroud.

1. Install the lower fan shroud to the vehicle.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the lower fan shroud retaining bolts and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

3. Lower the vehicle.




4. Install the upper fan shroud to lower fan shroud retaining bolts and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.
